Dr. Ngaineiting Baite is a linguist who actively participates in the documentation, description, and promotion of underrepresented and lesser-known languages/mother-tongues of India. Her research focuses on Tibeto-Burman and Austroasiatic languages. Through close collaboration with speech communities, she contributes to the preservation of linguistic knowledge and the development of grammatical descriptions, lexical resources, and other language documentation materials.
